perhaps something to do with the upcoming practicum.
It could be a multiple choice question asking what people thought the purpose of the first 3 weeks in January at the beginning of the practicum are for?
a) staying at home and preparing lesson plans
b) observing classes/teachers and taking notes
c) start teaching classes
d) going surfing and relaxing before hitting the classroom for real
e) squeezing your sponsor teachers for all of their lesson plans so you don't have to prepare any
f) getting to know the principal better so he can give you a good reference

just an idea.
it could also be a question about some of the content that we learned in class on tuesday too!

I like that question, Steve. Should we have one for the end of the presentation, asking what grade we should get?

we could ask that at the end, but maybe only put comical answers as possibilities.(or an actual rating too...not sure about that though...what do other people think?)

Something that might be a good idea would be to actually put together a bit of a test... say about 10 questions, and then we could do a bit of an analysis of the data too. Is that possible with the i clicker?

I don't know if the actual analysis is possible, with the time constraints - I'll be mentioning the fact that some analysis is possible in my section....if we do the grade question at the end, I agree with the comical choice option though. Maybe have only two choices - A+ or A, or something like that...

Let me check that one out. But what do other people think about doing a mini-test?

The only thing about analysing the data, is that each 'clicker' needs to be assigned a student number (i quess i could assign fake random ones).

Do we have time in the presentation for this?
Also, setting it up and testing it might take a little time for me. I need to still work on my part.

If I read Steve right, we only have 5-10 minutes? I don't know about you folks, but I could talk about my stuff alone for 5 minutes...

Sounds like you all are really getting into "clickers". Not sure you have ever seen them, but Qwizdom offers an outstanding remote with much greater flexibility when it comes to question styles offered. Qwizdom uses T/F, Y/N, Multiple Choice, Multiple Mark, Sequencing, Numeric Response(Positive/Negative, Decimal, Fraction Input), Voting, and Rating Scale. In addition, the Q5 Instructor Remote is outstanding. You can privately diplay or publicly diplay the collected data on the mobile wireless instructor remote. Also, you can ask a question on the fly and have students anonymously ask for help. Just thought I'd share some ideas with you. Many people don't realize how many "clickers" are out there. Campus Clickers.com does a great job introducing the clickers. Best of luck to you.

I went to campusclickers.com - every single page is udner construction right now, with absolutely no info available. Anyways, I'll check out the Qwizdom system...

I didn't bother mentioning it...I used for examples - i-clicker, CPS, CIS (the UVic developed one), and the TI Navigator.
